Depressing?

December 26th is usually my least favorite day of the year - the comedown after the Christmas high is always depressing. But not this year - this year Megan's boyfriend Zac came up from Coeur d'Alene with his best friend Jerry to spend the day with us. They were anxious to hit up Pike Place, and I'm never one to turn down donuts from the Daily Dozen.





After a quick stop at a party for one of Megan's childhood friends who was in town, we headed back to the house to play some board games - there is nothing quite like Scattergories with the Bilfinator. Zac and Bill shared so many answers, Megan may have a hard time denying that she really does love Bilfy.

That night, Zac, Megan, Jerry and Ann went to sleep and we talked Bill into stopping at the local Redmond watering-hole: Palmers. It was an RHS reunion in there! We only stayed for a bit, but it's always hilarious to me to see how jam-packed that place is. Oh Redmond, you so crazy.



The next day Bill & Ann treated us all to Salty's brunch buffet - if you haven't eaten there, then you are missing out. I don't even like seafood, but it was amazing. We all started with one plate. That is, except for Jerry. Jerry came back with three plates full of food. Crepes, pasta, cinnamon rolls, hashbrowns - anything he could fit on there! They also have an amazing dessert spread. That's really why I came. Delish!











After brunch, the boys had to head back to CdA and Meg had to get ready to catch her flight. After we all said goodbye outside, Meg, Zac and Jerry stayed outside a little longer to chat. I'm a creepy sister-in-law, and that was my cue to sit and stare at them from the front window. I also got the super creepy idea to paparazzi-style snap a shot of them making kissy-face from the window. It would have been creepy if I wasn't so ridiculously good at it!



Zac is a keeper, and it was great to get to know him a bit better! I was sad that Megie was only home for 3 days, but we still had a great time!
